Experimental and Numerical Investigations for Dual−Cavity Tip Aerodynamic Performance in the Linear Turbine Cascade

Experimental and numerical studies of a linear high-loaded turbine cascade with dual−cavity tip structure are presented in this paper. The experimental conditions contained an increase the outlet Mach number from 0.42 to 0.92, change incidence angle −15° 15° relative clearance size 0.36% 1.4%. ability control leakage losses vortices is assessed using total pressure coefficient Q-criterion. This research indicates that vortex interacts strongly passage vortex, working affects balance between two thus flow field structure. results prove can reduce all operating conditions, best effect reduced by 0.025 large condition. In addition, blade more influenced incoming than number.
